Redfield Stuart writes explicit adult fiction. Stuart is a surly curmudgeon who is certain now that the world is entirely mad, and that only thoughtful, considered madness based entirely in the factual reality that so many others among the species choose to ignore is the appropriate means to navigate life and survival. Plus a cat or two. If you haven't yet tried his work, available for purchase on Amazon Kindle, or to read for free for Kindle Unlimited members, by all means, please do. If you have read and enjoyed a story of his, he has more work in progress. If you didn’t enjoy it, please try the others as they come along anyway, in the mutual hope that his other works may better entertain you.
A Fly on the Wall:
The Black Boss, The White Wife, The Lost Bet
What if you thought you had the perfect life, then discovered one day that you actually didn’t know the most important things about any of the closest people to you?
Roddy Jameson loves his job and considers his boss DeSean not only the best guy he has ever worked for, but a great colleague and a great friend. He enjoys what he does for a living and the people he works with. And he is a little scandalized but also amused by his boss’s hobby of becoming the first black lover (and best sexual experience ever) to as many married white woman as possible.
Roddy is married to the brilliant and gorgeous Mixie. She’s a modestly successful fiction writer, wonderful conversationalist, and they have incredible fun together, including a very satisfying love life. They enjoy life in a close-knit neighborhood, where everyone is friends and backyard cookouts and house parties are a regular thing.
But Roddy and DeSean make a lot of bets, mostly about sports, most of which DeSean wins. One day they stray from the sporting fields for a bet: how will Mixie respond to an intimate photo from DeSean?
Roddy is certain Mixie will ignore it, but when DeSean’s phone buzzes just a minute later and DeSean hides the screen to reply, then rushes out of the office, Roddy is knocked back on his heels. However, he has a technological way to literally be a ‘fly on the wall’ at home.
So he does, and in literally minutes, Roddy’s illusions -- and his foundations -- begin crumbling. And keep on crumbling, until he soon discovers that he hardly knows not just his boss, but his wife, his neighbors, and perhaps the very nature of the entire world around him.
In the course of mere hours, he finds his head spinning: Am I living in a tragedy or a comedy? Or maybe even an outright farce? Are we, all of us?
But is the fact that he hasn’t understood a thing about the life he was living a problem…or is it an opportunity?
